Logo & Branding
A local joiner approached me about his idea for a logo. He saw that the three initials of his company, TTJ, had the potential to create the shape of a dove tail joint. We exchanged sketches and quickly collaborated to bring his vision to life.
Illustrations & Infographics
An avid cyclist in Portland, OR wanted to commemorate his first Century (100 miles in one ride) with a poster. He sent me a photo of his bike and a link to his Strava stats for the ride, and I created a custom illustration of the bike, and an info graphic of the most relevant data points.
Experimental
Designers like to push their craft, their tools, and their taste to the limits, so when I’m not designing for my clients, I’m designing for myself. Aside from the joy of the creative act, the results of exploring the outer reaches of color, form, and text is that I return to my client work with a fuller palette.
This is from a poster series inspired by 1960s print ads in which the products are replaced by gradient swirls, and the ad copy is replaced by comedy.
